123LogAnalyzer is a new
statistical reporting program available to the Key West CyberWorks
Web Hosting account holders at no additional cost. Below are
instructions on how to download and install the program on your
computer. Please note that this stats package is also
compatible with Macs. The first
step is to click the "download the program" link below
(chose your version needed, Mac or PC).
This starts the process. You may opt to save the install
program to your hard drive by clicking the SAVE button in the
pop-up window that appears, or simply click the OPEN button
to start the download and then automatically install 123LogAnalyzer
then after.
When the installation process is
complete, start the 123LogAnalyzer program, the window
below illustrates what the program looks like when it is running:

Start the analyzing
process by clicking the DOWNLOAD button. The following
window will open:

1. Type-in your
FTP address, it is listed on the account info sheet I told you print
and save...OK, I know, so read on. Your FTP address is usually
written like this: ftp.yourdomain.com (ftp.kwcyberworks.com).
Note: it is all lower-case.
2. In this text
box goes the address of where your log file is stored and in almost
all cases should be written exactly as follows: /var/log/httpd/access_log
3. Enter your web
account username. This may be in one of two forms, the first:
username@yourdomain.com (again, this info is listed on your
account info that was sent to you), OR just your username.
Try using username@yourdomain.com first, if that does not
work then try just typing-in your username. If all else
fails contact Tech Support for Help below.
4. Enter your web
account password.
5. Click on the
DOWNLOAD and ANALYZE button. This starts the process.
When the log file has completed downloading the program will
automatically start the creation process for the stats report and
then display web pages with the results.

6. These results
will display the most-recent statistical usage data for your
website.
For a 3-month report read on:
First download /var/log/httpd/access_log,
then go through the same process as
as described above, but this time enter the log file to
be downloaded as
/var/log/httpd/access_log.1, finish the process
as above. The do
/var/log/httpd/access_log.2, then /var/log/httpd/access_log.3,
and
finally /var/log/httpd/access_log.4
When
you run the analyze option it will include 3 months of data.
And finally, click on
the link below and request the unlocking code from Tech
Support that will convert 123LogAnalyzer from a demo
to a fully-function version.
You should this a very
complete stats reporting program and more than meet your needs. |
